How to Apply

Preliminary Steps

❏ Schedule and attend either an open house or a campus tour (for scheduling outside of tour dates, please contact info@canterburyclassicalschool.com)
❏ Read through the tour packet materials
❏ For rising Kindergarteners, review the “Kindergarten Readiness” handout

1. Submit the Following:

❏ Fill out the Student Application (includes uploading a recent photograph of the applicant, recent standardized test results (Grades 4-12), report cards and attendance for the last two years (Grades 1-12), so please gather these documents prior to filling out the form, as it can not be submitted without them), one form for each student applying**
❏ Fill out the Family Application (one per family)
❏ $125 non-refundable Enrollment/Re-Enrollment fee per student**
❏ Teacher Recommendation Form (Grades 1-12), sent to Canterbury directly from teacher)

Applications will not be processed until all required documents are received.

**Only these steps necessary for current CCS Families with a rising Kindergartener**

2. Evaluation & Acceptance:

❏ A required evaluation will be completed on Friday, February 7th for rising Kindergarten and Saturday, February 8th for rising 1st-12th grade.
❏ You could possibly be contacted to schedule an interview with the Head of School.
❏ We will contact families regarding acceptance or denial in late February.

3. Upon Acceptance:

❏ Reserve your place in the classroom by returning the Enrollment Agreement form and the full non-refundable Curriculum fee by March 3.

All applicants for Kindergarten are required to be five years old by August 15. We hold very tightly to this requirement, and even recommend that applicants with birth dates in any of the summer months consider waiting until the following year. Please note: Young applicants may be required to wait another year for admission based on evaluation.

Enrollment Documents

New students must complete/provide the following forms and documents before attending school:

• Health Assessment (A physical copy to be completed by the student’s physician.)

• Copy of Birth Certificate

• Copy of Both Parental/Legal Guardian Identification

• Immunization Records
